Kazakhstan citizens will be fined for the involvement of children in rallies

The Senate has made to the draft legislative amendments, the provision on penalties for parents who involve minors in meetings.

Penalties include a fine of 100 MCI (about 250 thousand tenge) or administrative arrest for up to ten days, reports “Kazpravda”.

“The involvement of minors in meetings, rallies, marches, demonstrations and other forms of expressing public, group or personal interests and protest, held in violation of the legislation of Kazakhstan, as well as the use of minors in these forms of expressing public, group or personal interests and protests entail a fine in the amount of 100 MCI or administrative arrest for up to ten days”, — stated in the explanatory note to the project.

Senators are reminded that there are cases when people came to protests with young children, exposing them to danger.
