During today’s briefing the first Deputy head of the Department of Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption in Almaty Daniyar Taumurat urged civil servants not to abuse power, not to use the car for personal purposes, to ethical behavior and prevent drunk driving, to adhere to the principles of integrity and impeccable reputation.

Some civil servants still don’t mind lush, most importantly, publicly, to celebrate a particular holiday, be it a wedding, anniversary or new year party. These activities form the wrong role model and incorrect values.

No doubt civil servants need to change, to be more modest. Modesty is one of the key standards of conduct of public servants. As a recommendation, offer to do good deeds, to buy Christmas gifts for the poor, said Taumurat.
