The head of state said in Sochi during a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The meeting between the two leaders was held on the sidelines of the XVI annual meeting of the international discussion club “Valdai”, reports MIA “Kazinform“.
“I am grateful for the invitation to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the victory in the war. Plan to be in Moscow. This is our common holiday,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The head of state said that the father was a soldier, and an uncle buried in a mass grave in the village of Trubino Rzhevsky district of Tver region.
“I’m thankful to local authorities and, of course, to the Russian government. All burial sites are kept in good condition,” — said the President.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan will continue to honor the memory of soldiers who gave their lives for the Great Victory.
