Noting the friendly nature and positive dynamics of bilateral relations, the President of Kazakhstan drew attention to the significant potential for mutual cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats, the press service informs.
“We are very good partners in the framework of the Organization of Islamic cooperation. In the capital of Kazakhstan Nur Sultan opened the headquarters of the Islamic organization for food security, which also can give a productive impetus to our cooperation”, – said the head of state.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev expressed gratitude to the government of Kuwait for assistance in issues of using Kuwaiti air bases in the implementation of humanitarian operations “Zhusan” in January 2019.
The President also noted the great potential of economic cooperation between the two countries, including in the fields of construction, energy, agriculture, Finance, investment and tourism.
The Prime Minister of Kuwait also gave a high assessment of the prospects of strengthening ties with Kazakhstan.
“Between our countries there is a huge potential for cooperation in trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian, tourist destinations,” – said the head of the Kuwaiti government.
Sheikh Sabah Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabah said that the intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic cooperation between the two countries are important tasks. He expressed the hope that in the upcoming 4th meeting of the Commission will establish new approaches that will enable the Kazakh-Kuwaiti relations to a new level.
After the meeting, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev invited the Prime Minister of Kuwait to visit Kazakhstan.
