The heads of state exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the Holy Muslim holiday Kurban AIT and wished the fraternal peoples of Kazakhstan and Turkey goodness, happiness and prosperity, the press service informs.
During the conversation the presidents discussed the current epidemiological situation in both countries. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev praised the good work done in Ankara on the fight against the pandemic COVID-19, thanked Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the Turkish side rendered humanitarian assistance. The sides agreed to continue coordination of efforts on overcoming the consequences of the coronavirus and post-crisis recovery.
The sides discussed the state and prospects of development of the Kazakh-Turkish strategic relations. Emphasized the importance of maintaining positive dynamics of bilateral trade and implementation of joint investment projects, especially in the area of health, the ‘new economy’ and agriculture.
At the end of the negotiations Kassym-Jomart Tokayev confirmed the invitation of his Turkish counterpart to visit Kazakhstan with an official visit.
